SEO/GEO

What is SEO?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of improving a website so it can be more easily discovered, understood, and ranked by search engines like Google and Bing. It combines technical optimization, high-quality content, keyword targeting, site structure, and authority-building strategies to help a website appear when potential customers search for relevant products, services, or information.

Effective SEO goes beyond simply adding keywords to a page. It focuses on creating a website that search engines can efficiently crawl and understand while providing genuinely useful information to visitors. The goal is to increase organic search visibility, qualified traffic, and opportunities for conversion without relying entirely on paid advertising.

What is GEO?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the practice of structuring and optimizing content so that it can be easily understood, extracted, and presented by AI-powered answer engines such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and other conversational search systems. While traditional SEO focuses heavily on ranking webpages in search results, GEO focuses on becoming a reliable source for the actual answer an AI gives to a user.

GEO typically emphasizes clear question-and-answer structures, authoritative and well-supported information, concise explanations, strong topical relevance, natural language, structured data, and content that directly satisfies user intent. In simple terms: SEO helps people find your website; GEO helps AI understand your website well enough to use it when answering questions.
